The importance of communication skills for Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers in delivering material, building effective interaction, and creating a positive learning environment. This article identifies communication challenges faced by teachers, such as a lack of public speaking and active listening skills, which can hinder learning effectiveness. Community service activities in the form of training and mentoring based on communication theory and practice are conducted to address this issue. Effective communication strategies for ECE teachers include the use of simple language, engaging learning media, verbal and non-verbal methods appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood, as well as patient and friendly demeanor. The results of the activities show a significant improvement in the communication skills of the training participants, which has a positive impact on teacher confidence, teacher-student interaction, and learning effectiveness. Nevertheless, further mentoring programs are needed to ensure consistent implementation of communication. In conclusion, improving the communication skills of ECE teachers through continuous training is crucial to support effective learning, motivate children, and build positive relationships with parents.

Waste bank is a government program that is recommended to be implemented in every community unit in Gresik sub-district, East Java, it is a step by the Gresik government in maintaining the sustainability of Gresik sub-district with the assistance of all Gresik residents, this direction is forwarded from the government office to the sub-district office, village to community units in implementing the program, many residents are still confused about the types or types of waste management that need to be highlighted, namely the management of identifying the type of management, recording methods, to reporting. This method uses a qualitative method in stages from observation, interviews, implementation of counseling, monitoring to evaluation. The results of this counseling are that the counseling speakers provide direction that is welcomed positively to suggestions that can be well received by residents, from grouping to simple recording patterns and reporting. The conclusion of this activity is that it is hoped that residents will remain solid and harmonious in carrying out this activity which has been proven to foster togetherness and unity of residents in helping to maintain the environment and the regional economy.

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan hasil pengabdian yang berjudul Pelatihan Desain dan Penerapan Strategi PAIKEM (Pembelajaran Aktif, Inovatif, Kreatif, Efektif dan Menyenangkan) bagi Guru Madrasah. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di di Kecamatan Rupat Kabupaten Bengkalis Riau. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan ini merupakan Partisipatory Action Research (PAR) dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan deskriptif kualitati. Adapun hasil pengabdian yang telah pengabdi lakukan tentang Pelatihan Desain dan Penerapan Strategi PAIKEM (Pembelajaran Aktif, Inovatif, Kreatif, Efektif dan Menyenangkan) bagi Guru Madrasah disimpulkan bahwa sebelum pelaksanaan pengabdian, strategi pembelajaran PAIKEM belum sepenuhnya dilakukan guru dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Kecenderungan guru masih menggunakan strategi pembelajaran konvensional . Hal ini disebabkan oleh masih kurangnya pemahaman guru terhadap bentuk strategi PAIKEM dan kurang didukungnya sarana dan prasarana serta perangkat pembelajaran seperti jadwal mata pelajaran yang disusun Madrasah.Namun Setelah pelaksanaan pengabdian, pemahaman dan kemampuan guru dalam penerapan strategi PAIKEM mengalami peningkatan meskipun belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan yang diharapkan, dalam pelaksanaannya belum sepenuhnya terlaksana sesuai dengan arahan yang diberikan pada waktu Pengabdian, namun semua itu bisa di maklumi karena dalam penerapan strategi PAIKEM perlu pembiasaan sehingga guru tidak merasa canggung dalam pelaksanaannya.
