Abstract

Currently, tourist village development based on local smart potential is common in Indonesia and provides high income for development. Bit Village in Badgan Regency, Ponorogo Regency, East Java, is one of the villages that has the potential to be developed into a tourist village. This study aims to understand the tourism cultural village by identifying the main problems existing in the development of Biting Tourism and Cultural Village, as well as the efforts to overcome these problems and the extent of the role of the Biting Tourism and Cultural Village community in supporting the development. village. There are villages within villages. Ultimately, we hope to find a development strategy for a tourist village based on this research, unleash the potential of local wisdom, and revitalize Biting Village. The methods used were descriptive qualitative and SWOT analysis. The research's results indicate that the primary obstacle to the development of tourism in Biting City is the lack of infrastructure and optimized services. Conversely, the benefit of urban tourism is that it allows local communities to participate fully in the development of tourist cities. Infrastructure development, preservation and enhancement of tourism potential, promoting and integrating all of the potential tourism resources into a comprehensive tourism program.
