Abstract

The regional government in carrying out guidance on the administration of housing and settlement areas has the authority to compile and provide housing and settlement area databases. So far, the provision of databases has been weak due to a lack of synergy between OPDs in the utilization of shared data. In addition to providing a database (hereinafter referred to as data collection), regional governments also have the task of supervising and controlling housing and residential areas. The ineffective implementation of data collection and supervision has resulted in many changes and/or conversion of the function of Public Utilities Infrastructure and Facilities (PSU) as well as the number of houses that have changed in shape and size and are not in accordance with the IMB. On the other hand, the lack of information on housing data to the public has resulted in problems such as the failure to build a PSU that should be the right of the community, abandoned housing developments and housing that has been abandoned by the developer prior to the handover of the PSU from the developer to the government. Starting from these problems, the Gresik Regency Government developed an information system based on a Geographic Information System called RUMAHKU SIP (Special and General House in Data Collection and Monitoring Information Systems).
