Pendampingan Sertifikasi Halal UMKM Desa Wates Kecamatan Jenangan Kabupaten Ponorogo

Abstract

The importance of halal certification in marketing food and beverage products has become a crucial element, especially amidst consumer demands for halal products. This initiative is part of the assistance effort to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Wates Village, Jenangan District, Ponorogo Regency, in obtaining halal certification. MSMEs that have successfully obtained halal certification also report opportunities for expansion into national and international markets, in line with the increasing demand for halal-certified products. The aim of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of mentoring in helping MSMEs achieve halal certification, as well as its impact on increasing market access and business growth. A qualitative approach was used in this research by applying in-depth interviews with MSME owners and parties involved in the halal certification process. Assistance in halal certification has provided an important contribution to MSMEs in Wates Village. Through training, technical guidance and administrative assistance, MSMEs are able to understand halal certification requirements and implement them well.
