Abstract

Waste is the most common thing found in a large or small industry. Waste is generated from industrial production residues such as coconut shell waste which is often produced from the rest of gethuk food production. Coconut shell waste that is properly processed will become goods that have a sale value, for example, such as making briquettes. This can be an economic opportunity to make MSME manufacture coconut shell briquettes for Golan residents. Using a descriptive research method, the authors looked for sources of information on the Golan village briquette industry with the result that coconut shell waste left over from the manufacture of gethuk can be made into goods with a high selling value. The advantage of coconut shell briquettes is that they are environmentally friendly because they are taken from industrial waste. The drawback is that coconut shell briquettes are still not in demand by the wider community due to new products and lack of marketing. To overcome this, good marketing techniques are needed so that the product can be recognized by the wider community.
